The Irrepressible Bluebill to be Featured on the 2021-22 Federal Duck Stamp
Perched on my desk is one of my favorite decorations, a preening bluebill skillfully mounted by the wonderful Steve Fijalkowksi. I splashed the drake several years ago at Merritt Island on an otherwise slow hunt, its iridescent purple head the mark of a mature bird.
